Moving Yanda and Chester makes sense

It would make perfect sense for the Ravens to start right guard Marshal Yanda at right tackle tonight, and then insert Chris Chester at right guard. The Ravens tried to downplay the move after the first preseason game when Oniel Cousins struggled at right tackle, but the Ravens were already strongly considering moving Yanda over to right tackle when Jared Gaither missed a lot of practice time during OTA's.

To beat a good, aggressive defensive team like the Jets, the Ravens have to put out their best offensive line, and moving Yanda and Chester gives them their best chance of beating New York. Yanda plays with power, and both he and Chester added 15 pounds of bulk during the off season. Cousins is still at least another year away of being a regular starter in the NFL and his backup, Tony Moll, isn't the answer either. If protecting quarterback Joe Flacco is the Ravens No. 1 option, then they have to make the moves to Yanda and Chester. You can bet that Jets coach Rex Ryan will do everything in his power to put pressure on Flacco.
