Heap on shoulder injury: "I'm preparing like I'm playing"

Two days after straining his shoulder, tight end Todd Heap said he "can't say right now" whether he's going to play Sunday at the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I'm preparing like I am playing," Heap told The Baltimore Sun.

Heap injured his shoulder on a 35-yard outstretched catch late in the fourth quarter. He had a team-high 11 passes thrown his way in the season-opening, 10-9 win at the New York Jets.

"It's obviously sore," Heap said. "We're taking it day by day to see how it goes. I expect it to get better soon."
