Fox News dominates in primary night ratings

Tuesday night was a big political night, and Fox News came up big in the ratings with anchor Bret Baier as political point man --  beating CNN and MSNBC combined.

Here are the Nielsen numbers for prime-time from 8 to 11 p.m. Tuesday:

Fox News: 2,484,000 viewers (594,000 in prime demographic of 25-54)
MSNBC: 912,000 viewers (253,000 in 25-54)
CNN: 710,000 viewers (200,000 in 25-54)

What a difference for CNN compared to its powerful showing in 2008.
