The Ravens trail the Bengals, 6-0, at halftime, and the offense has yet to advance the ball inside the Cincinnati 35-yard line. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been a mess, completing five of 17 attempts for just 23 yards, and he threw a bad interception to Pacman Jones in the second quarter that led to the Bengals' second field goal.
As I mentioned in this post earlier today, the Ravens can't seem to figure out Bengals cornerbacks Leon Hall and Johnathan Joseph. Flacco has completed just one pass to a wide receiver, a 10-yard completion to Anquan Boldin with about five minutes left in the half.
I'm not saying I'm in favor of doing something drastic like pulling Flacco for Marc Bugler, but you have to wonder if Ravens coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron are considering making a switch in the locker room.
I say keep Flacco in -- for now, at least -- and start pounding the ball on the ground. One huge play from Ray Rice and the Ravens will take the lead. He's one of the most electrifying playmakers in the league. They've got to get the ball into his hands in the second half.
Not-so-fun fact: The Ravens have scored one offensive touchdown through six quarters this season.
