Ravens safety Tom Zbikowski wants to return punts this season, and he's in the mix for returning kickoffs. But Zbikowski says he's better at punt returns than kickoffs.

Why?

"I need chaos," Zbikowski said, grinning. "It makes me think clearly."

In Monday afternoon's special teams practice, when the Ravens work on punt coverage, Zbikowski was among a number of players who fielded punts. The former Notre Dame returner showed a spark with a juke step and then cutting upfield. He looked very quick -- perhaps not as quick as Donte' Stallworth, but pretty quick.

Zbikowski returned both kickoffs and punts at Notre Dame, averaging 16.2 on kicks and 11.5 on punts. But he returned three punts for touchdowns, including two for 78 and 52 yards. He also had a non-scoring 60-yard return.

His longest kickoff was 28 yards.

Chaos it is, then.
