Tom Zbikowski, the third-year safety charged with replacing Ed Reed for however long Reed is out, slipped inside of Terrell Suggs to sack Carolina quarterback Matt Moore on a third-and-10 play. The blind-side hit knocked the ball out and although the Panthers recovered, they lost 17 yards.

On the next play, Zbikowski showed his speed on a 28-yard punt return. Another 10 yards was tacked on for tripping against Carolina to give the Ravens possession at their 47.
