Weather doesn't rain on fans' enjoyment

A torrential downpour didn't drive away a few hardy fans from Thursday night's preseason opener.

As a heavy rain began to pelt M&T Bank Stadium in the second half of the Ravens' eventual 17-12 victory over the Carolina Panthers, a few thousand spectators braved the elements and remained in their seats play hard.

Their commitment was not lost on coach John Harbaugh.

"The stadium was 20 percent full, but it sounded like a full stadium," he said. "That's when it started raining really hard, and they just went crazy and got loud. It was really exciting and fun. It was a warm rain, so I think everybody was OK."
