Next stop on the "Kate Plus 8" keep-the-kids-working express: New York City.

Here's the TLC release. Read it at your own peril to rising blood pressure:

On Monday, August 30 at 9pm, TLC will air the new one-hour KATE PLUS EIGHT special "The Big Apple" where Kate and the kids are traveling to NY – by train! The Gosselin family has visited New York City before, but never like this. The family experiences new and exciting things throughout the city, from Chinatown to Times Square. And while Kate has planned many educational opportunities for them, the kids are most excited about their visit to the Statue of Liberty. But, will Kate be able to enjoy a trip with her kids or will the record breaking summer heat and the pressures of traveling in a big city with eight kids cause Kate to lose her cool?

The show must go on, huh? Don't you love the way TLC teases with the possibility of Kate losing her temper with the kids? Is that what passes for entertainment -- waiting to see if mom will blow her top amid the heat and hustle of New York City? Is the channel knowingly exploiting this aspect of Kate Gosselin's less than perfect parenting skills?

The series of specials did lose one-third -- more than 1 million viewers -- from episode one to epsiode two. Still, the audience was over 2 million -- and that's a lot of people watching this series.

I guess the thinking at TLC is: Let them hold hearings until the cows come home in Pennsylvania, and we'll keep filming our Gosselin road show.

All aboard: Florida, Alaska, New York City ...
