Harbaugh digs M&T Bank Stadium upgrades

The Ravens made a couple of significant upgrades to M&T Bank Stadium in the offseason, installing new turf and upgrading the stadium's video boards to HD.

I accidentally left my cleats and practice jersey in Hampden, so I didn't get a chance to check out the new turf firsthand. But I spent a lot of time staring at the crystal-clear video boards because I am attracted to shiny, flashing objects.

I'm not the only one apparently.

"They were sweet," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "I caught myself looking up there every now and then."

Harbaugh was pleased with the new turf, too.

"It felt really good to me. I'm not the one playing on it," he said. "It's definitely softer than the last one. They were telling me it was really hot, which is expected on a hot day on newer turf. They said their feet were burning a little bit. It seemed like the footing was good."

I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the players about it, but I'm sure

will have the athletes' take on the new turf sometime soon.
