D.Williams says sprained ankle isn't serious

Demetrius Williams' 12-yard catch in the second quarter was the wide receiver's only reception in the Ravens' 23-3 win against the Washington Redskins Saturday night because he sprained his right ankle on that play.

Williams said a Washington player rolled onto his ankle after he made the grab.

"Yeah, I just got a little sprain," he said. "Nothing big."

Coach John Harbaugh confirmed Williams' status. "Demetrius had a little bit of a turned ankle, so it doesn't look serious," Harbaugh said.

Williams' ankle was wrapped and taped, and he appeared to walk with a little limp in the team's locker room. But he vowed to be ready for practice on Monday.

"I'll be practicing," said Williams, who is involved in a battle with Marcus Smith, Justin Harper and rookie David Reed for the fifth wideout spot. "I can't afford to miss practice at this point."
