Given the Ravens' shortage of available cornerbacks against Carolina, Cary Williams played the first three quarters at left corner and played well. He made a nice interception in the third quarter when Carolina receiver Dexter Jackson slipped on a sideline.

He came in for run support often and caused an incompletion when he dropped Armanti Edwards with a waist-tackle and lost his own helmet on the play.

Williams played special teams late in the year in 2009, but is being given a chance to shore up the secondary this summer. His two-game suspension for an incident in Tennessee will hurt him, but he showed enough against Carolina to believe he's a keeper.

Williams finally came out in the fourth quarter, when the Ravens played Chris Hawkins and Doug Dutch at the corners.
