The cold front that blew through the region Sunday afternoon was both deadly and destructive. Falling trees and wires killed three people and knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of Marylanders. Some are still without electrical service this morning. The gust front kicked up a towering swirl of leaves and trash in Fells Point, and the temperature on the car thermometer dropped from 91 as we began driving north from Thames Street, to 82 degrees by the time we reached Orleans Street, where we met the rain.
