The Ravens have the second-best defensive line in the NFL, according to Yahoo Sports. The only line rated higher by the web site is Minnesota, which has Jared Allen and Ray Edwards at the ends and Pat Williams and Kevin Williams on the inside.
After rating the Ravens at No. 2, Yahoo's comments are: "As mentioned above, ranking 3-4 teams really high is tough because those fronts generally don't produce a lot of the pass rush. Rather, they set the table for the linebackers. That's still the case with the Ravens."
The web site mentioned that the Ravens get "enough pass rush" from Trevor Pryce, who is actually slated as the backup to Cory Redding. Yahoo says the "true greatness" of the line is defensive tackle Haloti Ngata. "Simply put, Ngata can't be blocked by mere mortals," Yahoo's Jason Cole wrote. "He is not a product of the human species. He is really a creation of a building contractor, made of cinderblocks and some type of flesh-like covering."
Yahoo's top-five defensive lines are: the Minnesota Vikings, Ravens, New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.
