Did you think Dru Hill was down for the count? Think again.
The hit Baltimore R&B group is back with a new album, the questionably titled "InDRUpendence Day," which came out this past Tuesday.
Why didn't it drop on July 4? Because Dru Hill makes its own holidays, that's why.
At 6 p.m. today, Dru Hill is performing at Sound Garden in Fells Point. Dru Hill for free? I'm there.
But wait, that's not all. I have more important Dru Hill info to share ...
Dru Hill doesn't just have a new album and a new member -- there's also a new reality show, "Platinum House," on BET's new Centric network.
In all seriousness, Amie recently (legally) downloaded Sisqo's "The Thong Song," and we listened to it in the car a couple weeks ago. I forgot how much I loved the phrase "dumps like a truck," even though I'm still not exactly sure what it means. And in an age when everybody pop, rap and R&B star is Auto-Tuned to the max, it was refreshing to hear Sisqo actually singing. Remember when singers used to sing, like, for real? I miss those days.
