DIRECTV starts replays of HBO's 'The Wire' Sunday

A reminder that HBO's "The Wire" comes to DIRECTV starting Sunday night. And if you are wondering what Idris Elba has been up to lately, here's a link to an excellent interview/profile piece with him done by Lisa Respers France at cnncom.

DIRECTV will begin showing all five seasons of HBO's "The Wire" starting at 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Baltimore-based drama will be shown without commercials or cuts, according to DIRECTV.

The satellite TV service has partnered with NBC to keep "Friday Night Lights" on the air by providing a second revenue stream. Clearly, the folks at DIRECTV feel quality drama is good business.
