What happens when a person is hit by a car going 40 mph?
Well, it's not good, as evidenced by a demonstration Thursday by transportation officials, who turned a downtown street into a pedestrian obstacle course. I know, it's no different than any other day!
Michael Dresser, who writes the Getting There blog, writes today about people who might be getting anywhere but the hospital. It's all part of a new police crackdown on aggressive drivers. Authorities plan to give out tickets to jaywalkers (here's a column I did a while back on that topic!).
