Please check out my audio preview of the first episode of Season 4 of AMC's "Mad Men." It airs July 25.
The year is 1964 as the the new season opens, and by the end of the first episode, advertising executive Don Draper is in another cycle of full blown re-invention.
I fell out of love with this series last year after thee flawed history it offered on Baltimore's London Fog in the first episode. Remember how that epsiode included a trip to Baltimore by Draper and Sal?
I am liking this year better with Draper's back against the wall, and him fighting for his personal and professional life.
But I still wonder about the social history. I feel like creator Matthew Weiner abused the personal histories of London Fog's founder and the founder's son. That's hard to forgive. But I'm keeping an open mind after seeing this season's opener.
