Outdoor store REI said it is opening a new store in Columbia this fall.
The 24,000-square-foot store will be located at Columbia Crossing shopping center. It will sell the outdoor staples the retail chain is known for - gear for camping, hiking, cycling, paddling and other activities. The store will also have a bike shop that includes a repair component, and a place where shoppers can rent outdoor gear.
REI has 112 stores, including three in Maryland in College Park, Timonium and Rockville.
