'Somewhere' trailer: Will you take Stephen Dorff seriously?

Sofia Coppola's next film, "Somewhere," stars Stephen Dorff (whose acting credits include Britney Spears' boyfriend in her video for "Everytime" and "Blade") and Dakota Fanning's younger sister, Elle. This will be Coppola's first film since 2006's "Marie Antoinette," but the trailer emits another vibe — "Lost in Translation," the director's 2003 breakthrough: The hotel, older man-younger girl relationship (Dorff is Fanning's father, though), impeccable song choices, beautiful stationary shots. And there's a question that emerges, too: Can Stephen Dorff pull off a high-brow, Coppola-penned-and-directed film? It could be his serious-actor epiphany (a la Mickey Rourke in "The Wrestler") or it could be a poor casting decision. Either way, we're excited. Too bad the film won't be released until December.
