Eron Riley is personal favorite of Ravens' coaching staff

The "teacher's pet" among the Ravens' wide receivers is Eron Riley, and the former practice squad player takes good-natured ribbing from his teammates because of it.

"He is such a hardworking, conscientious competitor," wide receivers coach Jim Hostler said. "Everything he does, he wants to be better at."

Riley, who joined the Ravens last season as an undrafted rookie out of Duke, has stood out more than the other returning wide receivers like Justin Harper and Marcus Smith. He has shown strong ball skills during recent passing camps, but he is still a raw talent.

"For Eron, the game looks very similar to practice," Hostler said. "So when you watch Eron practice, that's probably going to show up in the game – which is some good things."
