Right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg, the first overall pick of the 2009 draft by the Washington Nationals, will debut Friday when the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs take on the Gwinnett (Ga.) Braves at 7 p.m. at Alliance Bank Stadium, the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network announced today.
Strasburg went 3-1 with a 1.64 ERA in five starts with the Double-A Harrisburg Senators.
The game can be viewed at 10:30 p.m. Friday on MASN. It will air after the Nationals host the Marlins and "Nats Xtra."
