With Ben Roethlisberger spending the weekend undergoing evaluations at a clinic, Byron Leftwich has been running the Pittsburgh Steelers' first team during abbreviated minicamp practices.
But coach Mike Tomlin said he won't name a starter until some time during training camp, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The other options are Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon.
"Some of the evaluation-oriented things can't take place in shorts," Tomlin said of when he will name the No. 1 quarterback. "So it's on my radar, but not very high on the to-do list at this point. It will be addressed at some point."
The Ravens' fourth game of the season is at Pittsburgh (Oct. 3).
Roethlisberger spent the weekend in a clinic being evaluated per order of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He has been suspended for the first six games of the season.
