Finally, an answer to the question: What's Paula going to do after "Idol"?
As "American Idol" limps to the finish line of its first season without her, Paula Abdul and CBS Monday announced that the former "Idol" judge will be executive producer, creative partner and lead judge on a new dance reality contest, "Got to Dance."
In your face, Fox, and how many tens of millions of dollars do you think you lost this year thanks to not paying Abdul a few million more to stay on "Idol"?
Notice that Abdul got from CBS the same kind of status and profit participation that Simon Cowell had from Fox. She won't be a hired hand on this show; she'll have the security of being one of the owners. And I cannot wait to see what she comes up.
No dates have yet been set for tryouts or the premiere episode.
