Nakamura to speak on asthma at GBMC

Ravens safety Haruki Nakamura, who had 14 special teams tackles last year, the third best on the team, will speak today at 6 p.m. today at Greater Baltimore Medical Center as part of a seminar on asthma called "Winning with Asthma."

Nakamura, who was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2008 draft, battled with asthma during his time playing at Cincinnati in college and will address about 50 parents, teachers and coaches at the seminar, whose goal is to educate community members about some of the dangers of asthma.

Free asthma screenings will be available at GBMC from 2 p.m.to 5 p.m. before the seminar, held in part to recognize May as Asthma Awareness month.
