Fitzhugh is gone

The Ravens rescinded the exclusive rights qualifying offer to reserve safety Keith Fitzhugh, who was signed off the New York Jets practice squad on Dec. 22. He was inactive for the final four games of the season.

Now, the Ravens' safeties heading into the first minicamp are: Ed Reed, Dawan Landry, Tom Zbikowski, Haruki Nakamura, K.J. Gerard and Marcus Paschal.

Upchurch gets tryout

Alabama running back Roy Upchurch, an undrafted free agent, has received a tryout invitation from the Ravens, according to his agent. Upchurch ran behind Mark Ingram, last year's Heisman Trophy winner.

Rex on A.D.

Based on the comments of New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, it doesn't seem like there will be a Ravens reunion between Adalius Thomas and him at the Meadowlands.

"I think with [Thomas] we'll end up first in the league in defense, and without him we'll end up first in the league in defense," Ryan said. "If we get him, great. [But] I'm not worried about him, he's not on our team."

My feeling is Thomas eventually ends up in Miami. Dolphins defensive coordinator Mike Nolan was a huge fan of Thomas when he was with the Ravens.
