I do not do a lot of previewing here, because I have found the blog better suited to other matters. And readers seem to like post-show discussions better. But allow me a brief look ahead at tonight's episode of "Glee" in hopes that I can get you to watch it -- especially if you are not a regular viewer.

Tonight's episode, which airs at 9 p.m. on Fox, is simply one of the best hours of prime-time entertainment you will see all year.

If you are one of the phony snobs who says network TV is dead, and you only watch HBO (and maybe PBS), you are one of the folks who really needs to see this episode directed by Joss Whedon ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer) with guest stars Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother"), Idina Menzel ("Wicked") and Molly Shannon ("Saturday Night Live). And if you are an older snob, try to remember as you sit down in front of the TV tonight what it was like to be in high school and bursting with a need to express your pain and passions.
