Ravens cornerback Chris Carr, who just turned 27, already has his post-NFL career in view. He's going to law school.

During the team's first minicamp, Carr said he had interned with the law firm Hogan & Hartson, now Hogan & Lovell. He has wanted to be a lawyer since his junior year in high school, but his football ability intervened. The Ravens are the third NFL team he has played for.

Carr is one of the most articulate and insightful players in the Ravens' locker room. A six-year veteran, he signed with the team last year as a free agent and played in every game with four starts.

"I don't want to play until I have brain damage," said Carr, who is small by NFL standards at 5-10 and 180 pounds.

He is a native of Reno, Nev., and will probably attend law school on the west coast, he said.
