Fox announced its next season schedule today, and there's some interesting American Idol news there.
According to the Associated Press, the Tuesday performance show will be increased to 90 minutes ("in response to viewer requests for more performances") and the results show will be cut to 30 minutes.
To the latter news, I reply, "Hallelujah!" To the former, I say, really? Some episodes this season, the contestants have had trouble pulling together one competent performance, and how they'll have to start doing two earlier? Great.
There's still no word on who will replace Simon Cowell at the judges' table, though.
