1. 'American Idol' season finale
Season 9 has come under fire for inane judging (hi, Ellen!) and an inconsistent talent pool (Tim Urban really sucked), but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hooked. The winner of Wednesday's finale will join the ranks of past "Idol" winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Or, you know, Taylor Hicks. That's part of the fun. 8 p.m., WBFF/Fox. WESLEY CASE, B

2. Sowebo
This year marks the 25th Sowebo Arts and Music Festival at Hollins Market. Indulging in the eclectic music and art scene may be the best way to enjoy Memorial Day weekend in Baltimore. Noon-9 p.m. Sunday. soweboarts.org. BRIAN KRISTA, B

3. 'Sex and the City 2' (above, photo by Warner Bros.)
I thought the first movie ended things well with Big and Carrie getting married and Steve and Miranda getting back together, but I'll never argue with more "Sex and the City." Can't wait to see my favorite girls (and the return of Aidan!) on the big screen. Opens Thursday. MARISSA GALLO, B

4. NCAA lacrosse championships
The championships come to Baltimore, the center of the lacrosse universe, with the men's games Saturday and Monday at M&T Bank Stadium and the women's games Friday and Sunday at Towson University. ncaa.com. ANNE TALLENT, B

5. Memorial Day at Fort McHenry
If the site of Francis Scott Key's anxious gazing isn't an appropriate place to recognize Memorial Day, I don't know what is. The National Park Service plans observances, plus services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday. nps.gov/fomc. ANNE TALLENT, B

6. The Pretty Things Peepshow
This burlesque act sashays into the Depot accompanied by the oh-so-appropriately named backup band, the Sex Slaves. Saucy! 9 p.m. Saturday, 1728 N. Charles St., Station North. $10. thedepotbaltimore.com. ANNE TALLENT, B

7. 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'
The original "Prince of Persia" was the first video game I ever owned. While the more recent games have kicked ass in recent years, I'll admit I have my doubts about this movie. I'm hoping that the cool visuals help distract me from the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal isn't Persian. In theaters Friday. TIM WONG, B

8. Downtown Westminster Farmers' Market opens
Finally, we can put all that terrible, awful snow behind us and welcome summer in all its blooming and abundant glory. Check out the farmers' market in downtown Westminster. Conaway Municipal Parking Lot on Route 27. 8 a.m.– noon Saturday. AUBREY FORNWALT, B

9. '24' series finale

Jack Bauer has been kicking terrorist ass since right after Sept. 11, 2001, and we haven't been attacked since. Can we really afford to lose him now? Season 8 —and the series — tick away for good with a two-hour finale. 8 p.m. Monday on WBFF/Fox. ADAM SAPIRO, B

10. Charm City Roller Girls tryouts
Think you're one tough cookie? Prove it. The Charm City Roller Girls are looking for new skaters to compete in their flat track derby league. Tryouts are at the Dundalk Skateland, 7 p.m. Monday. $10. For equipment requirements, go to charmcityrollergirls.com. BRIAN KRISTA, B
