Keeping Pryce will pay off for Ravens

It was a smart move by defensive end Trevor Pryce to take a $2 million pay cut for the 2010 season, and it should pay off for the Ravens as well.

Pryce became a part-time player last season, used mostly on passing situations and more heavily in the second half of games. There were times when he could still put pressure on the quarterback, but not as consistent as when he played in Denver, or a few years ago when he first came to Baltimore.

Pryce is a quality person and a character guy in the locker room. He is one of those veterans who works harder now than when he did when he first came into the league. You can't replace a leader like Pryce in the locker room. To keep him around is great, and at a cheaper price is even better.
