It's that time of year again: The spring edition of Spa Week is scheduled for April 12 through April 18, 2010, just in time for anyone who wanted to make an appointment for some bargain-basement pampering.

More than 30 Maryland spas and salons are participating in Spa Week, but by my count only nine are located in Baltimore or the surrounding counties.

Each listed spa offers its own variety of services like facials and massages, all for only $50 each. Contact each individual to make an appointment.

Here's a tip: If you've been saving up to invest in some below-the-belt bling, you'll want to take a trip to Charles County's ... 

... Strippers Waxing Salon & Boutique in Waldorf, which offers Vajazzling, a Brazilian bikini wax followed by Swarovski crystal embellishment of the deforested area. 

According to the Spa Week site, the service normally costs $100+.
