Former Morgan State star running back Chad Simpson has been waived by the Indianapolis Colts, according to Scout.com. The Indianapolis Star also blogged about the move.
Simpson returned one kick for a touchdown last season and averaged 23.6 yards a return.
Sun reporter Ed Lee wrote about Simpson before the Colts-Ravens playoff game in January. In the story, Simpson referred to the Colts as his "new family."
If Simpson can't find employment elsewhere, it would be nice if the Ravens bring the former local college star back to compete for the return job. He might be an upgrade over Jalen Parmele.
