Recycle your old cell phones at AT&T stores

In honor of Earth Day, AT&T is hosting an old cell phone collection drive at its stores on Apr. 22.

You can drop off old cell phones, regardless of the manufacturer or carrier, to any AT&T retail store in the Baltimore area. Anyone who donates will receive a reusable shopping bag and a 10 percent discount on any non-Apple accessories purchased that day.

The company also has a few tips before you recycle your phone:

1. turn off the power

2. remove your phone's SIM card

3. Erase your address book, photos, messages, and other stored information
