When the Ravens face the Broncos in Baltimore in Week 5, they can expect to see first-round draft pick Tim Tebow in a Wildcat package.
After drafting for the Ravens' 25th pick to take Tebow, Broncos coach Josh McDaniels indicated the former Florida quarterback will get on the field this season in the Wildcat package.
"He could be a game-plan type thing if that's what we determine is best early in his career," McDaniels said. "He's done a lot of things in his career, running the football and doing different things in terms of handling the football. He's a guy that gives you the opportunity to create some packages like that and if you want to use that, then you can get creative. There's no mystery about the Wildcat being more in vogue, and having a player who may be able to do both run and pass the ball gives you another option."
Kyle Orton, who played one of his worst games of the season against the Ravens last year, remains the Broncos starter.
The Broncos will also bring wide receiver Demaryius Thomas with them in October. Several mock drafts had Thomas coming to Baltimore with the 25th pick. But the Broncos took him at No. 22 after the second of three first-round trades.
McDaniels said the Broncos had controversial receiver Dez Bryant on their board, but they had Thomas ranked higher. Bryant went to the Cowboys with the 24th pick.
