Ravens draft another TE, BYU's Pitta

He joins tight end Ed Dickson of Oregon, who was drafted by the Ravens in the third round on Friday.

This gives the Ravens some depth behind starting tight end Todd Heap, but ignores other need areas like cornerback.

Pitta, who is 6-foot-4 and weighs 245 pounds, had a very productive career at pass-happy BYU, including 62 catches last season. His junior year he had 83 receptions for 1,083 yards and six touchdowns

A former walk-on for the Cougars, he has served a two-year Mormon mission to the Dominican Republic.

He was a finalist this past season for the Mackey Award as college football's top tight end.
