"Treme," the New Orleans based drama from David Simon and Eric Overmyer, was renewed Tuesday for a second season by HBO.
The ensemble drama that follows a group of musicians and other residents trying to rebuild their lives three months after Hurricane Katrina, will go back into production in the fall. No second season premiere date has been set.
The series is still in production on the 10 first season episodes.
An audience of 1.4 million viewers tuned into Sunday night's premiere, according to AP.
