Defensive end-linebacker, Texas

Sergio Kindle of Texas was voted this draft's top 3-4 outside linebacker prospect in a poll of 17 NFL scouts by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

He has the size (6-3, 250) and athleticism (4.65 speed) that NFL defensive coordinators want. He also has been disruptive (16 sacks and two forced fumbles in four seasons) at the same program that produced Brian Orakpo, who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie for the Washington Redskins.

In comparing his game to Orakpo, Kindle said, "I feel he's a better defensive end and I'm more of a linebacker. I feel like he can give me more pointers on playing defensive end, and I can give him some on playing linebacker. We kind of balance. He's got a year under the league under his belt, so he surpasses what I know by far."

There are some character issues that could downgrade Kindle in the Ravens' eyes. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated in July of 2007. Two years later, he had a one-car accident in 2009 where he damaged a building and left the scene of the accident.

For Kindle to fall, he would have to get past the Denver Broncos (No. 11), Miami Dolphins (No. 12), San Francisco 49ers (No. 13), New England Patriots (No. 22), and Green Bay Packers (No. 23).
