Defensive end-linebacker, USC

No one doubts that Griffen has first-round talent. But it would be surprising if the Ravens selected him for one reason: his motor is too inconsistent. For the Ravens, that flashes "buyer beware."

Griffen would be tempting because he is explosive and is a forceful tackler. The addition of Griffen has the potential of significantly upgrade the Ravens' sagging pass rush.

But some predict his lack of discipline in playing defense could push him down to the New York Jets at the bottom of the first round, or he could land into the second round.

"Griffen has a chance to be a terror in the [New York Jets coach] Rex Ryan system," said Mel Kiper, ESPN draft analyst. "He has great size mixed with superior athleticism, and most importantly, his best days are ahead of him. Think Terrell Suggs and Adalius Thomas."
