Cape Air adds more flights at BWI

Cape Air is adding flights between BWI-Marshall Airport and Lancaster and Hagerstown for its new schedule which begins this month. The additional flights are mainly to create flexibility for early evening travel. The airline will operate five roundtrip flights to Hagerstown on Mondays and Fridays, including a flight that departs BWI at 8:20 p.m. During the week, the last flight to Lancaster now will depart at 8:30 p.m. On Mondays and Fridays, an additional evening flight will depart at 6 p.m.

-USA3000 will again offer summertime direct flights from BWI to Bermuda. The afternoon flights to Bermuda and evening flights to Baltimore resume June 13. Flights are scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays through Aug. 15, with airfares starting at $99.99 one-way.

-Beginning April 12, Air Jamaica flights will be operated by Caribbean Airlines, the airline fo Trinidad. The transition will be phased in over a year and travelers should continue making reservations as usual at Air Jamaica's Web site during the transition period. The financially strapped airline has significantly reduced service at several airports, but BWI continues to have daily flights to/from Montego Bay.
