Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome made note in the team's press conference that he improved on the picks he gave up for wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
Last month, the Ravens traded their picks in the third (80th overall) and fourth rounds (123rd) for Boldin and a fifth-round selection. On Friday, they received three picks for their first-rounder. And the picks gained from Denver in the third (70th) and fourth rounds (114th) were better than their original ones.
So, in one way of thinking, the Ravens gave up a first-round pick in exchange for Boldin, a second-round pick and a fifth-round one.
