As some of you know, I have been off the blog since Tuesday. I was supposed to be on vacation last week, but that doesn't mean off the blog. There are no vacations or weekend days off from the blog. I haven't had such a day in over a year. (Jan. 19, 2009, to be exact. The joys of being obsessive.)
But Tuesday, I bumped against a medical issue that took precedence over everything else. It has been dealt with to the point where I can get back to the blog today.
I have only been away five days, but there is so much to catch up on. Kate Gosselin on the cover of "People" -- and now saying the dogs are coming back. Those poor dogs. I wondered if a zlogger made that story up knowing it would get me back in the saddle in a second. More on the Kate and the dogs in a coming post.
Speaking of dogs, Michael Vick, the confessed dog killer and torturer, is now going to be on two reality TV shows. In addition to the BET series, Spike TV has added him to the cast of "Pros vs. Joes." How the just and righteous are rewarded by reality TV. (I am being sarcastic.)
There is a healthcare showdown this week in Congress, and that means plenty of time with C-SPAN for me. Dealing with insurance and doctors all week, only underscored for me how epic this fight is, and TV is at the center of it. I'll be there.
