Walmart Stores Inc. announced today it is cutting prices on Easter staples.
The National Retail Federation expects Americans to spend on average $118.60 on food for Easter. They'll spend $17.29 on candy alone.
Here are some sample prices Walmart will offer to bring that bill down.
Spiral-sliced ham - $1.48 per pound
Asparagus - $2 per pound
12-count Brown n Serve rolls - 88 cents
Strawberries - $1.50 per pound
10-ounce angel food cake - $2.50
12-count Easter cupcakes - $5
Carrot Cake - $9
Egg lollipops or easter gummie candies - $1 each
