Pe'shon Howard, Mychal Parker and Terrell Stoglin will give local Terps fans a glimpse of the future April 15.
The three Maryland-bound seniors have signed on to play for the U.S. All-Stars in the 37th annual Capital Classic at American University in Washington. The D.C. roster will be announced March 23, but Josh Barr made an educated guess on the team members in today's Washington Post.Howard, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound combo guard, averages 13 points and six assists for Oak Hill (Va.) Academy. He'll lead the third-seeded Warriors in the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational on April 1-3. The tournament will be held at Coppin State's Physical Education Complex.
Parker averaged 21.6 points and 7.2 rebounds this season for the Miller School, helping the Mavericks to the Virginia Independent Schools Division I semifinals. Parker, a 6-foot-7, 195-pound small forward, is the highest-ranked Maryland commitment. He's a four-star prospect according to Rivals.com.
Stoglin, Maryland's first commitment of the 2010 class, led Tucson (Ariz.) Santa Rita to the Arizona 4A-II state championship earlier this month. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound point guard averaged 29.4 points, 6.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals as a senior.
