They might be pictures of They Might Be Giants show

Saw indie-rock favorites They Might Be Giants Friday night at the Recher Theatre in Towson. The rain didn't deter any of the fans from lining up around the block to get into the sold out show.

This being my very first TMBG show and all, I wasn't quite sure what to expect except for what everyone — including Giants fan No. 1 Mr. Gallo — had told me: Prepare to have your face melted.

And melted (albeit to songs about science) it did. Here are a few pics my husband took during the show:

John Flansburgh is almost 50 (!), but could probably beat you in a rock-til-you-drop battle

One thing more abundant than nerdiness at a TMBG show: confetti

John Linnell is notoriously the more reserved of the two, but kept eye contact with the audience, including me all the way up front, the entire time

More shows need sock puppet interludes

Two Johns for the price of one

Husband was lucky enough to snag a setlist after the show and was determined to wait (in the cold and rain) to get his Indestructible Object matchbook signed

After almost an hour, he succeeded. Thanks, Flansburgh
