One of the Maryland SPCA's biggest events of the year is coming up: March for the Animals. My Teddy Bean will be marching with all four furry paws.
Some of you know Bean lived in an awful Pennsylvania puppy mill until the end of last June when he and more than 200 dogs were freed during a raid. On July 1, MDSPCA's Nichole Miller drove up to Harrisburg, Pa., where the rescued pups were being kept, and chose 18 to bring back to Baltimore to put up for adoption. I took Teddy Bean home July 3.
Teddy and so many other dogs and cats owe a world of gratitude to the MDSPCA for giving them a chance at a good life. Bean hopes that you might consider supporting the March -- or at least attending it on April 18 at Druid Hill Park.
This, by the way, is the picture I took of The Bean for his March for the Animals pledge page. I think he's looking rather poster boy proud, don't you? All smiling and with the fuzzy paw out....
