Surprise returns in 'The Biggest Loser'

John-John reports on last night's Biggest Loser ...

The return of two ousted contestants got the competitive juices flowing again in The Biggest Loser.

Ever since Melissa and Miggy left the show things have been kind of After School Specialish on the show. Maybe the show's producers kind of realized that when they brought back all of the ousted contestants for the opportunity to make it back into the competition. (Magdalia chose to stay at home and be with her family.)

In the end, the contestants chose to bring back Victoria. And the show's producers started to salivate when Melissa won a challenge, which qualified her to get back in the house.

We really haven't gotten much of a feel for Victoria because she was on the show for such a small amount of time. She and her mother Cherita were eliminated the first episode of the season along with O'Neal and Sunshine. Both teams were brought back midway through the season and Victoria and Cherita were again sent home because Sunshine and O'Neal lost a largest percentage of weight while both teams were at home following their first episode eliminations. Now Victoria is back for a third opportunity. (She's been racking up the frequent flyer miles for sure.)

Melissa on the other hand has had more than enough screen time for the label villain to be appropriately applied. The trainers – specifically Jillian – got tired of her perceived lying when she denied throwing the weigh-ins as strategy. Melissa and her husband were so self absorbed they at times appeared isolated from the rest of the cast. And Melissa and her arch-rival Miggy had a couple of memorable shouting matches that pegged both women as abrasive and confrontational.

Even though the contestants had a choice in allowing Victoria in the competition, there was still an overall resentment amongst the competitors.

Sunshine and a couple other contestants elude to the fact.

"Just to have Melissa back its annoying," said the usually ultra-friendly Koli. (Even the popular Koli appeared to buckle to the ugly competitive streak, which resulted in him participating in not-so-friendly activities.)

After Bob shamelessly plugged Zip-Loc bags this week, we see Ashley and Koli chatting in private about Stephanie. Koli says that Ashley shouldn't trust Stephanie because he suspects she threw her weigh-ins a couple of times, causing Ashley's mother to get kicked off the show. Ashley confronts Stephanie who immediately cries and denies throwing the weigh-in. (Ashley doesn't seem convinced.)

At the "Last Chance Workout" Jillian works the heck out of Vicky, which really doesn't seem to matter because Vicky only loses four pounds this episode. (She and Melissa have immunity this first week back so their weight loss doesn't matter.)

Stephanie's one pound weight loss most certainly matters. Her pathetic showing places her in the bottom two along with Sam, who only manages to lose two pounds.

Going into the elimination, you can almost predict that Stephanie is going home. You already know that Sam's cousin Koli is going to vote against her. And with Koli places that doubt in Ashley's mind about Stephanie's motives, she is also susceptible of voting against her one-time closest friend remaining on the show.

In the end, Stephanie is voted off the show. The most interesting stuff is apparently going on off camera.

Those fine folks at InTouch have revealed that Stephanie and Sam have been carrying on a relationship. (So that's who she means when she says she's in love.) I find it very interesting that she's in a relationship with Sam when his cousin Koli appears to dislike her so much.
