Stacking teams backfires on 'The Biggest Loser'

It was truly the night of the woman on this week's episode of The Biggest Loser.

The momentum started with Cheryl outlasting Darrell in a challenge carried over from the two week break caused by the endless skiing, overly dramatic Bob Costas voiceovers, and tacky fashions of Johnny Weir during the Winter Olympics. (Can you tell I'm glad the games are done?)

Anywho, Darrell loses. He leaves the show saying that he's a changed man. Blah, blah, blah.
Next, there is a Temptation Challenge involving cookies and picking cards. (Once again the show pulls a game out of nowhere. I wonder if there is an employee whose sole job is to pick random games for these reality shows?) Anywho, Michael beats Andrea and wins. As a result he was able to stack his team with the heaviest contestants who just so happen to be mostly men.

Michael, Koli, Daris, Lance, Miggy, and Sunshine comprise the blue team. Sam, Cheryl, Andrea, Stephanie, Sherry, and Ashley comprise the black team. Michael gives O'Neal the week's immunity. (O'Neal will replace whoever is eliminated next week.)

Jillian, who is assigned to the black team, is not pleased with the way the teams are picked. She and Michael get into a little bit of a spat. Michael essentially says that Jillian is trying to make him look like a bad guy. Jillian responds that he is a bad guy. (I guess Jillian needed a new contestant to attack following the exit of that annoying Melissa.)

The team challenge requires the contestants have to lift their team banners to the top of a building by using a pulley-like device. The winning team will receive letters from home. O'Neal will get to read his letters if he accurately predicts the winning team.

The blue team winds up winning the challenge. Members of the black team are crying their eyes out, which is kind of annoying because a couple of them still have a family member with them on the show.

Dr. H returns to tell all the contestants about how much better each one is as a result of the show. (Nothing like another "gentle reminder" of how great the show is. Yadda, yadda, yadda.)
Insert an intense Last Chance Workout, a huge shout out to Brita Water by Bob, and we're at the Final Weigh In.

This week the team with the largest weight loss percentage is safe from elimination. The losing team must vote off one member. Michael and the rest of the blue team are completely cocky. They don't think they can lose. They totally get beat by the female-loaded black team. I feel good for the black team. Everyone automatically assumed that the blue team was going to win.

Michael keeps saying: "It shouldn't have been us." (It further sours me to the blue team. Give me a break!)

"It's OK," Miggy says. "It's my time. The house is not going to be the same with out me." (Miggy is so right. It is her time to leave. And the house will likely be a little more civil without her in it. I'm sure most viewers have been tired of her attitude. Get to stepping, Miggy!)

In the update, Miggy now weighs 179 pounds compared to her starting weight of 240. Miggy says she's been meditating to relieve stress. (I'm trying not to laugh at this part.) She gets a special visit from Nicole from season 7, and the two chat and workout. Miggy says she's happy to be a part of "The Biggest Loser Family."

In his update, Darrell has lost 120 pounds from his starting weight of 413 pounds. He says he owes his life to the show. He also says that he plans to lose 200 pounds by the finale.
