The Ravens have decided to bring back kicker Billy Cundiff, giving him the low tender as a restricted free agent Wednesday, his agent announced on twitter.
This is the first tender announced for a Ravens restricted free agent.
Under this tender, the Ravens have the first right of refusal if another team signs Cundiff to an offer sheet. The Ravens, though, would not receive any compensation if they allowed Cundiff to sign elsewhere.
Cundiff solidified the Ravens' kicking position after he replaced struggling Steve Hauschka at midseason. He converted 12 of 17 field goals for the Ravens in the regular season, and he made all three of his kicks in the playoffs.
