NBC announced today that the new season of The Apprentice will be made up of people who have lost their jobs or otherwise been affected career-wise by the economic downturn.
The show is being cast now. According to the announcement:
This is an interesting twist on the show. I guess one upside for the contestants is that if The Donald kicks them to the curb, it won't be the first time they've been told, "You're fired." Maybe the prospect is less frightening that way.
