Local e-biz offers deal in honor of a kitty

A local couple with an online business is offering a special -- in honor of a special kitty.

Matt Snow, who lives in Fells Point, owns with his wife the online store Ex-Boyfriend. They design T-shirts and things from their original illustrations. They're also long-time animal lovers who believe in rescuing animals.

Their kitty Sadie died in December of 2008 and in her honor, they set up the Sadie Fund, donating 5 percent of their profits to Baltimore animal advocacy groups. And this year, during April, which is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, they're going to give 100 percent of the sales from keychain bottle openers to the Maryland SPCA.

"They feature a selection of our designs and are extremely handy,  especially during the dog days of summer when all you want is a cold beverage in one hand and a handful of fur in the other!" Matt says. "We're also shipping them for free."
